oh right not for a year

well now you know where to start
10:53 PM
you have to stop
10:56 PM
atleast that's what meditating is for me, stopping and being aware of yourself

I suddenly remember some guy talking about getting a curse removed?
11:53 AM
Mother fucker, Kamiko is a witch. Didn't see that coming.
11:54 AM
And they're right that curses/hexes/whatever you call them are less effective on people who don't believe in magic
11:54 AM
And to be completely honest I've no real idea how exactly they work. I just know that removing them can be kind of a bitch.
12:01 PM
It looks like I missed a whole lot of fun yesterday. Like thirty shitposts about cum magic and then kamikos epic fucking backstory
12:07 PM
But yeah, regardless there should be numerous countermeasures to curses, whether they're effective enough of not though seems to depend on some nonsense I was never sure of, but it's worth a try. If some random stranger threatened you with it casually, it's almost certainly an incredibly weak curse and it shouldn't be hard to break (edited)

basically inter-system forcing
Avatar
KiTkAT( •̀ .̫ •́ )✧/jk 1/9/2021 6:55 PM
(and a big part of forcing is that the subject needs to believe it is possible, hence the people who believe in curses are more likely to be affected by it)

hmm different allergies. So because I've been able to use my mind to change or get rid of allergies, maybe I can use it to improve my eyesight. I will try.

mr anon so we did do exercised for it we read a guide some time ago from a doctor that claims that eyesight is muscles that are too weak not the lens that is wrong and that it's weird to wear glasses according to him because it's like doctors prescribing crutches for the rest of your life when you break a leg
8:19 PM
and eyesight of people wearing glasses get worse and worse because they don't train their eyes
8:20 PM
so it's not really a mind training maybe a bit because you need to make your mind understand it's all about muscles but we have astigmatism which is not about muscles
8:21 PM
at one point with training host was able to like switch into seeing very sharpy and could see faces of people like 100m away of course not exactly but comparable to when wearing glasses
8:24 PM
most of the exercises were about relaxation and focus

does this work? I've read most of the excercises are tedious and might not even work
Avatar
Yeah the reason I don't wear glasses is to avoid getting even more short-sighted. Ah so your host was short-sighted but managed to make the eyes' focus reach further, that's excellent. Do you have access to more information on the doctor or guide? Did it say sunlight helped? According to the interweb (some sort of vsauce?), in an experiment rodents had worse eyesight with lack of light or something like that. (edited)

i didn't specify host's gender so please refer to them as they
9:02 PM
the name of the doctor is bates h william
9:02 PM
the book is called better eyesight without glasses
Avatar
yeah oops maybe that was "his" in the general sense when you don't know the gender so you go with him he his as unspecified gender ._. I noticed on re-reading

Yeah eyeball lengthening from muscle use could explain people getting long eyeballs over the course of their lives. Maybe the muscles could warp the lens too. There's also an animal, maybe it's a newt, and if its inner eye lens is surgically removed it can regrow it by a method it probably never or almost never has to in the wild, which is used as potential evidence for the morphic resonance hypothesis, so maybe changing a mystical body map (morphogenetic field) could make a change to the human eye if that's what guides the lens regrowth in that animal? (edited)

Deleted User 1/9/2021 9:08 PM
what is eyeball lengthening
Avatar
Wikipedia says "The method was based in his theory that the eye does not focus by changing the power of the lens, but rather by elongating the eyeball through use of the extraocular oblique muscles"
Avatar
Deleted User 1/9/2021 9:08 PM
the thing is that lenses change shape to refocus because they have specific muscles to do that
Avatar
by "over the course of their eyes" I meant "over the course of their lives" >_>
Avatar
Deleted User 1/9/2021 9:09 PM
hm from what i remember the book was talking about training muscles that change shape of the lense not eye

I've theorized that a person could make a tulpa that has a different ocular pressure that is that of a normal person who doesn't require glasses and then merge with said tulpa, healing the blindness that causes one the need to wear glasses. But that ultimately stems from hearing about systems with individuals in the system who need glasses and others in the same system who don't. I also subscribe to the belief that all illnesses are attributed to one's consciousness and one can cure any illness with their consciousness if they knew how. That line of thinking has allowed me to cure my MS along with other ailments I've suffered before in the past.
9:30 PM
Its a very old, hermetic, shamanic way of thinking I suppose
Avatar
Wow that's a lot of illness curing. There was a case when someone took an experimental drug for cancer and his cancer went into remission, and after finding out the drug was not shown to be helpful on cancer his cancer started coming back, so his doctor lied and told him he was giving him a purer form of the drug when it was actually a placebo (maybe salt water?), and his cancer went into remission again, and later after the study showing the drug wasn't helpful was published his cancer came back again and he died.
9:31 PM
Maybe I read that in Ben Goldachre's "Bad Science".
Avatar
Belief is one hell of a medicine
9:31 PM
If you can cure your cancer with pure BS, who's to say you can't do it without any sort of placebo medicine at all? That's literally what shamans in native cultures do
9:32 PM
I've also heard about that case btw
9:32 PM
crazy stuff
Avatar
o: yeah that was my thinking when I decided to work against my hay fever with the placebo effect instead of an antihistamine drug, and other allergies later which I cured. If you believe in the placebo effect, you can just use that as your placebo methinks. (edited)
9:34 PM
I'll try believing I'm immune to curses too.
Avatar
I feel like that's too broad of a belief that won't really hold up with mental blocks we all build to things like that
9:38 PM
But you can try!
9:40 PM
If you want more info on manifestation using belief, I'd read up on Neville Goddards work. The man used to study mysticism and found a science to metaphysical manifestation using belief. There's a whole subreddit of people that post threads about how they manifest ridiculous things, from winning the lottery to curing their cancer from the last time I looked.
9:41 PM
r/NevilleGoddard
9:42 PM
His techniques goes in line with the case of how a person receiving "cancer pills" would end up going into remission
9:46 PM
nice nice nice I will read this oh actually I have to go to bed <_<

I'll add something too, experimentally it seems honey is better for partial thickness burns than silver sulphadiazine which replaced it. There's ORMUS which I want to verify first, I'm doing a cress growth test right now.

hahahaha I just don't wanna spam the chat with everything i know on the topic
9:54 PM
I have a theory about mixing tulpamancy elements with Neville Goddard elements to make manifestation a walk in the park, but I have to test it on something really trivial and nonrecurring to see if my coincidences are just either just that or something more.

Ooh that may be fancier than a mere poltageist tulpa.
9:56 PM
Maybe techniques on lesswrong would be good for belief idk not read them much (edited)

Genuine question
Avatar
Yeah, I'm not gonna spend as long as I was on here before but I will leave you guys off with this. I feel like the metaphysical community SERIOUSLY underestimates out of body experiences and it's applications with any and everything. You could have a poltergeist tulpa in less than a week if OBE's were streamlined. One could cure their illnesses if it was made easier to the general masses. I REALLY suggest you all look into the applications out of body experiences can be used for if you haven't already.

I'm very interested in the application of the law of attraction to tulpamancy. The guide I'm working on incorporates it but without metaphysical terminology. Basically 'Think and live as if your tulpa is already fully sentient and where you want them to be."
Avatar
A Gaggle of Giggles 1/9/2021 9:58 PM
Anon, do you have any coherent beliefs? What exactly do you believe about the world and medicine and the afterlife and all? Because it seems you dabble in everything and have convictions about nothing.

I try to avoid belief often to avoid false belief, though I sometimes find myself reading something and thinking about it being true, and reading something to the contrary and noticing that I had not adequately stayed "in the question" earlier, and I am open to the possibility that I have something that counts as a belief that I am not intellectually aware is a belief. I really don't think I can know very much right now. I think chi seems more likely to exist than not but I am not certain. I don't have convictions on the afterlife or even know if there is one.
